How did I JUST read that  St. Lucy's Day is on the 13th December, in Scandinavia it marks the beginning of the Christmas season. Lucy's birthday is on St. Lucy's day . =) St. Lucy was a Christian martyr, very little is known of her actual life, but various legends have sprung up about her, mainly based upon the meaning of her name. The meaning of the name Lucy is light. I'll have to look up some of the legends, but for now here are some pictures of our little ray of sunshine!
